Well, this week has been great! Karina and Carlos got married Tuesday! We got to be their witnesses. They were SO HAPPY! Ah it was so much fun! Also, Carlos actually came to church this week! He said that he felt super calm and great! Karina and her mom have a date to get baptized 19 of July! PRAY SUPER HARD!! They are incredible.
We taught Angeles (mama de Karnia) about the Word of Wisdom. She smokes and drinks coffee. She said i don't know why, or how, but if this is the road that Heavenly Father wants me to take, i will do it. Amazing right?? They have the faith of little children! It is incredible.
Today i have officially been a missionary for 8 months. I still feel like a newbie. haha I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY! Seriously the blessings we receive, and get to help others receive is seriously awesome!
Yesterday we had Family Night with a family who are members who were married in the temple, then got divorced, then started living together again. Super weird. They are awesome! Super hilarious. Every time we visit them it is an adventure in some way or another. Anyway, we were teaching them about family history, and as we were finishing, Hermana Mendosa said, ya know what Hermanas, we aren´t married. I want to be their for my kids when they get sealed. Then this was the following conversation:
she asked her... husband/boyfriend... Do you want to get married?
well i think so.
great, i will get the papers ready tomorrow. Hermanas want to be our witnesses?
we said, of Course!
Great.
we said, it costs about 270 pesos.
Do you have 270 pesos? (she asked her husband)
Well, no but by the end of the month i will have it.
Great, tomorrow is the last day of the month.
oh.. ok. i guess we are getting married then.
haha. She said, wow what a surprise for everyone! :)
They are super funny. We are super happy. I am pretty sure i will have more weddings than baptisms here.
Dad, you asked how many we have a month.. i have no idea. I don't want to sound discouraged, because i am not, but the people here are super, super catholic. I thought it would be easier than it really is. But don't we always think that? But fear not little flock! Aguascalientes is in progress! :)
We had two activities this week. One activity misional, and the other was to celebrate los papás. We went to both because we brought investigators. They were both super fun! We had a lot of really fun activities. I will send you the layout if you want mom. Fun ideas for family parties. :) It is in Spanish.. but you wont have a problem with it :)
During the activity for the dads the YW and primary danced for their dads, then they invited their dads to come dance with them. I might have bawled like a little baby. Super embarrassing.. Love you dad :) Remember when we danced in the family room when we made pancakes together when i was little?
Mom, i DIED reading your letter! hahaha when you said the cockroaches on the wall story, i read dads letter and it had the same story word for word. hahaha i thought that was so funny! :)
Its rained a lot, but we have always been teaching when it rains, then when we leave it stops. until Tuesday. We were SOAKING wet! It doesn´t just rain a little. when it rains, it pours! It was super fun :) A woman invited us into her house when she saw us outside. She gave us towels and hot chocolate. (PS i totally love hot chocolate now. I know. who am i?) This is why i love Mexico. If they don't even know you, they will invite you in and they mean when they say mi casa tu casa. love it :)
Well, i am out of time! Love you lots! Hope your super fun trip in LONDON is super fun! take lots of pics! super jealous :)
Love you!!!!!!!
hugs and kisses.
