This week has been super fun :) I have gotten to know my companion a little bit better. She is just great! She is doing so much better than i did when i first got here. I am super proud of her :) We have so much fun, and she loves to work hard too! It is a great balance. We have gotten along so well and are constantly laughing.
The first day was a little rough for Hermana Rios, we walked and walked and were totally lost. The numbers in the streets are totally messed up. We were looking for 145. We saw 141, 143, and then 199,201 etc. What?? then all of a sudden the numbers started over with 1,3,5... super confusing! We stopped and asked some ladies where we could find the street, they didn´t help us at all. We explained we were missionaries etc then left. After searching for twenty more minutes i asked my comp where she felt that we should walk, she paused then pointed. We started walking in that direction. Then these ladies that we contacted saw us and started screaming! I will kill you!! My comp got all scared, i said no they weren´t talking to us, don't worry. Well we decided to leave the area because we couldn´t find the house, on our way out (the direction that my comp chose) we found the house! We wanted to cry! yay!! We went in and walked into the other room. A few minutes later those crazy ladies came in and started freaking out saying that there is a Mexican and a gringa who are stealing children and we need to keep an eye out for them. The woman who lived there isn´t a member, but she tried to explain to them that we are missionaries and we aren´t kidnappers. Apparently it is a big problem right now with a group of a few people, two girls and a guy who are stealing children. One of them is a white girl.. lovely! it was a crazy morning :)
The members have been so helpful! There is the sweetest little old lady named Cristina. She is probably 70 or more years old. Well, we went to visit them and she ended up coming with us to show us all around. She walked so much with us, and just talked and laughed the whole time. She is super cute. It helped a lot to get to know the area. There are some parts in our area that we cant visit in the night because they are a little bit more dangerous.Well, she wanted to take us to this super dark, creepy part. We started walking and two drunk guys stopped us and tried to talk to us. They knew that we were missionaries, apparently their daughter or friend goes to church too. Anyway, they talked and talked to us about lots of different things. Cute Cristina told them just about everything. That we are new, young girls who don't know anything about the area, we are lost and trying to get to know people. She just went on and on. Ah! We laughed it off, but in the moment we were both like SHH!! haha oh Cristina :) The guys told us not to worry they are the nice ones here, drunk but nice. Lovely. They said that we should leave this part of the area, but Cristina wanted to continue. We said no! Then after we mentioned our experience to other members and they said that we should not go there again. Haha don't worry, all is well :)
There are a few families that i just love. They have helped us so much. This time not the dangerous kind of help. haha
One of the goals that my companion was challenged to do was invite someone to baptism her first week. She was super nervous! She practiced the invitation millions of times. Well, we were teaching a sister named Sofia. I whispered to her, baptism! She got all nervous and forgot the invitation, but tried to say something. Sofia then said, wait what? haha she had to ask again, then she said yes! My companion was all ready to hear a no, but when she said yes she stopped and then smiled. She couldn´t continue, she just said, wow! We are so happy! haha.
We have a lot of work to do here. There are so many great people to teach and visit! :)
The area isn´t dangerous, don't worry, we just need to be smart and not walk in the darker areas at night. But i know that we are protected :)
Well the time just flew right by! We went to Centro today with an awesome family and we got back late, so it cut back on our writing time. Sorry! I promise next week i will send more pics and details of the week!

Well i love you lots :) The weather has been great this week, only the first few days it was rainy and cold. I hope you are enjoying the 14 degrees over there.
Oh my gosh is it Thanksgiving this week? That is super weird! I will have to eat turkey with Hna Rios. Happy Thanksgiving!
i am thankful for my Heavenly Father, for his love for me and for the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am thankful that i am a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. I am thankful for my family.
