Sorry that it is super late, we had an activity with our zone today! We went to Zacatecas and went to Cerro de Bufa. Not sure what bufa is... but it was fun! We took lots of pictures! There is a little catholic church on the top of the hill and some cool monuments. It was fun!
So i said primeramente Dios, verdad? Well, everyone here says that. When we invite them to come to church they always say primeramente Dios! I thought that meant Dios comes first! They need to always put him before other things. I said! yes! That is right! que bueno! Well, it doesn´t mean that at all. It means that they will wait for God to tell them that they need to do things, or something around those lines. What? Here i am super excited, and it totally means something else. ha ha i am not sure if i should cry or laugh about that one. My companion totally laughed at me! awe man!
We have been teaching this amazing family. They are just gems! They have two little sons. One of them is four, the other is six. The four year old left his house and came back with a flower. He was super cute and shy, but looked at me and handed me the flower then ran behind his Grandma. haha it was so cute! The six is seriously the cutest thing ever. He loves to pray and listen to us. He remembers everything we say too! He told us Saturday that when he grows up he wants to be an Hermano just like us, but a boy. ha ha how cute is that? We have so much hope for his grandma. She came to church with us on Sunday. She said she really liked it. She brought her three grand kids too! their parents didn´t come, but we will keep working with them!
We had a pretty neat experience with a brother in our ward. He hasn´t come to church for a really long time. We knew that he drinks and smokes, so we shared the Word of Wisdom lesson with him. The next day we passed by his house and he was sitting outside with alcohol. We said hi and asked how he was doing. He said good! Well, actually i am not good. Look at what i am doing... We were sad, and talked a lot about how he can change. Heavenly Father wants to help him, but he needs to try. It was a really spiritual lesson. He really understood that he can change. That the Lord loves him, and that he is very special. He asked me to say the prayer. We knelt down in front of his house and prayed. After the prayer he took my hand and with tears streaming down his face thanked me for showing him that the Lord loves him. He wants to change so badly. Oh! the word of wisdom is Satan´s favorite trick! But Heavenly Father is so much stronger. I am praying for Carlos so much. He is such a sweet man.
One of our menos activos has had about a million missionaries who have worked with her. It has been forever since she has come to church. She has been reading the Book of Mormon everyday and this Sunday she came! Everyone was so shocked and excited! So many people asked us what in the world we did to get her to come. We didn´t do anything. It was all the spirit! We were super excited for her!
We had a lot more success this week with people who have come to church. yay! Poco a poco we are in progress! There was a specific blessing given to Jerez by a member of the Seventy. He said that there is going to be so much success that we will one day have a stake here! Well, that blessing was given a long time ago and we barely have a ward. But not for long! I know that Jerez is ready! The field is white ready to harvest! That is a promise from the Lord! With patience and so much faith, we are going to have a stake here! I cant wait! We have really been trying to get the members excited!
Well i am out of time!
Love you all!
Hermana Anderson
