Its been a pretty relaxed week, but still super full of blessings. :)
This week we went on splits. I went with Hermana Paulson. This is probably the third or fourth time i have been with her. We were together in Aguas before and now she is my leader here! It was fun. It is awesome to see how much missionaries change too. I love it! We visited a deaf sister. It was really interesting. Their sign language is not the same as what i learned in the US. She apparently has a baptismal date. She was very sweet. We were going to bring her pictures, but Hna P forgot.. It was really difficult to teach her because she didn't understand anything at all. I don't know how they normally do it. She cant read either.. It is crazy, but it was a good experience. I am so grateful for my ears.
Hermano Oscar wasn't able to be baptized this week. That was a bummer. He called us the day before and said that he smoked.. No! We were a little sad, but told him not to worry. He asked if he could miss going to church because he was embarrassed, but he came to the baptism that the elders had that same day to support the sister, and came to church too! He is very determined that next week he will be baptized! He really has done an amazingly great job at quitting. It is stinking hard! Please keep him in your prayers so that he will be able to conquer this addiction and be baptized this Saturday!
Jonathan
is just rocking it up! He received the priesthood and a calling as a librarian on Sunday. The elders gave him pants, a shirt and tie so that he could dress up! He was so cute. I know i have mentioned this before, but i just love seeing the people who recently were baptized. They physically change! It is incredible! He is just moving right along. His mom has been so supportive too! Now we just need to help her realize that this is what she needs too! She told us yesterday that we made her realize that she needs to not only say things but do them too. She has been reading her bible more and attending mass more.. OK.. that isn't exactly what we were talking about.. but i know that if she really focuses on keeping the commandments more she will be able to have the spirit and see that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church. Here a little, there a little..

I have been studying typical phrases in Spanish during my studies. I feel like dad with all his sayings haha. One phrase that made me laugh. In English we say ¨fresh as a daisy¨, in Spanish it is ¨fresco como la lechuga¨ haha that made me laugh. (Translation: Fresh as Lettuce--you see why that made her laugh :)
This week i finished the Book of Mormon for the third time in the mission. I KNOW that this book is true. It is incredible. Something that caught my attention through out the whole book is how much our Father in Heaven loves us. He will do ANYTHING to save his children. As it says in 2 Nefi 26, Everything that the Lord does is for our benefit. I know that this is the most true statement. He has to allow us to suffer, he will bless us if we are obedient, he is so patient with us, all of this is because he wants us to return to live with him. Man are that they might have joy! That is his purpose! We cannot afford to be prideful. I know that Jesus Christ came to America. It is so true. He loves us! Ah! I know that when we have problems the answers are in this amazing book. Every question can be answered.
We contacted someone last week and tried to visit him this week. I think i wrote his number of his house wrong because it didn't exist, luckily we wrote is cell down. We called him and he said that he had been waiting for us. He said that we can visit him on Tuesday. A few hours later he sent us a message saying that he really does want to be closer to God but doesn't know how.. We are going to see him tomorrow. Hopefully he is one of the sincere ones! That would be great :)
